A major emergency response was launched late Monday after a woman fell from the Foyle Bridge in Derry, Northern Ireland. Witnesses saw the woman plunge into the river just after 11pm, drifting toward the docks.

Police Confirm Female Body Recovered From River Foyle
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a female, aged in her 20s, whose body was recovered from the River Foyle in Derry/Londonderry around 11pm last night, Monday 24 February. A post mortem examination will take place in due course to determine the cause of death.”
The rescue involved local volunteers from Foyle Search and Rescue alongside official emergency services. The tragic incident has left the community in shock as investigations continue.
