Two Charged Over Brutal Murder of Wolverhampton Man
Two suspects have been charged with the murder of Artura Busma, found beaten to death in a Wolverhampton flat on Tuesday.
Victim Found with Severe Head Injuries
Officers discovered the body of 39-year-old Artura Busma at a property on Tettenhall Road, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem revealed he suffered severe blunt force trauma to his head and body.
Suspects Arrested and Charged
Simon Wilkins, 27, and Jodie Rafferty, 33, both residents of separate homes on Tettenhall Road, were arrested on Tuesday. Last night, both were charged with Mr Busma’s murder. They are set to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (23 April).
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The crime scene remains sealed as forensic teams continue their investigation. Detectives are urging anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious around 8pm Monday into early Tuesday to come forward.
“I would urge anyone with information, who heard anything or who noticed any suspicious behaviour in the area after 8pm on Monday and into the early hours of Tuesday to get in touch,” said Detective Inspector Laura Harrison.
“We’re still trying to fully understand what went on at the flat and the movements of Mr Busma and the suspects before the murder.”
A tribute from Mr Busma’s wife called him “a wonderful person, a loving husband and a great dad to our sons. He will be greatly missed, and always in our hearts.”
