Teen Boys Nabbed After Wild BMW Crash in Brighton
Two boys were arrested after a reckless BMW ride ended in a smash-up in Brighton in the early hours of Tuesday, June 30.
Police Chase Ends in Crash
At around 2:50am, cops spotted a silver BMW driving erratically on Bear Road. They signalled for the car to stop – but it sped off instead.
Officers briefly lost sight of the vehicle, only to find it moments later on The Avenue. The car had crashed into several parked vehicles, and the driver had fled the scene.
Suspects Identified and Arrested
- A 14-year-old boy from Brighton was arrested for aggravated vehicle taking and causing damage under £5,000.
- A 13-year-old boy from Brighton faced multiple charges including dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking, vehicle damage under £5,000, driving without third party insurance, driving without a proper licence, failing to stop for police, and possession of an offensive weapon in public.
Both lads were released on conditional bail as police continue their investigations.
