Aaron Barrett’s Shocking Police Station Stunt
Aaron Barrett, 29, from North Road, Brighton, caused chaos at Brighton Police Station on Sunday afternoon (11 October). After refusing to leave the front office and turning hostile, Barrett climbed onto the atrium roof, pelting officers with tiles and plasterboard.
Three Hours of Mayhem
The front office was forced to close, locking out the public while police tried to calm Barrett down. The tense standoff lasted three hours before he finally surrendered and was arrested.
Guilty Pleas and Next Steps
- Barrett admitted to three charges of criminal damage
- He pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer
- He also pleaded guilty to causing a public nuisance by closing the front office with violent behaviour
The court released Barrett on conditional bail. He is set for sentencing at Lewes Crown Court on 9 November.
