Brutal Late-Night Attack in Hackney Bar Smoking Area

At just after 1am on Sunday, 13 September, a 25-year-old woman was brutally punched in the face outside a bar on Kingsland Road, Hackney.

Man Approaches, Then Attacks

The victim was standing in the bar’s smoking area when a man tried to strike up a conversation. She wasn’t interested. After a brief exchange of words, the man jumped over a fence and launched a sudden, violent attack, landing several punches to her face before fleeing the scene.

Victim Hospitalised with Serious Injuries

The woman was left with a large cut on her cheek and needed hospital treatment. Police have yet to make any arrests in connection with the cowardly assault.

Police Plea to Public for Help

Detective Constable Kyri Soupashis of the Central East Command Unit said:

“While the image isn’t the clearest, we believe someone will recognise this man and help us identify him. This attack was frightening and cowardly, and it’s vital we find the person responsible.”
