Jimmy Gilheaney Charged With Eight Burglary Offences

Kent Police’s Chief Constable’s Crime Squad cracked down on a wave of burglaries in Ashford and Folkestone from September to October 2020.

Jimmy Gilheaney, 38, from Bradstone Road, Bristol, was arrested and now faces six counts of burglary plus two attempted burglaries.

Stolen Goods Included Cash, Jewellery and Watches

The charges cover multiple incidents:

  • Theft of cash, jewellery, and watches from a Kennington home near Ashford, plus an attempted break-in in Folkestone on 10 September.
  • Jewellery snatched from homes in Folkestone and Ashford on 11 September.
  • Cash stolen from an Ashford property and an attempted burglary on 10 October.
  • Cash taken from a Folkestone home on 11 October.
  • Foreign currency, a watch, and handbags pinched in Westgate-on-Sea on 12 October.

Court Date Set for November

Gilheaney is due in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 9 November.
