Mid Hants Railway Shuts Down Until End of May Over Covid-19

Heritage Railway Closes Immediately

Mid Hants Railway has slammed the brakes on all services with immediate effect, shutting down until the end of May. The move comes amid the ongoing coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis and fresh Government guidelines aimed at protecting customers, volunteers, and staff.

Booking Changes and Refunds Explained

If you’ve got an advanced booking between now and late May, expect to hear from the railway within 21 days. They’ll offer you a new date to travel or a gift voucher for the full ticket value, valid for 12 months, if rescheduling doesn’t work for you.

Support Needed to Keep Heritage Alive

Mid Hants Railway depends on ticket sales and donations to keep the steam engines running for future fans. They’re asking customers to consider donating their ticket value during these tough times. Of course, if you’d prefer, a full refund is also on the table.

Patience Urged as Rail Staff Tackle Cancellations

With a flood of cancellations and postponed events, the team is stretched thin. They’re urging customers to hold off on calls and emails for now. More updates will be shared as soon as possible.

“We look forward to welcoming you back to the railway in the future,” says Mid Hants Railway, signing off with thanks and apologies for the hassle.
