Midnight Lorry Heist Sparks High-Speed Chase
Police were called at around 11.30pm on Sunday, 8 November, after a security guard spotted two men slashing the curtain side of a lorry and stealing its cargo.
Speeding Suspects Nabbed After Vehicle Pursuit
Following a high-speed chase from the service station, a 28-year-old man from Greater London was arrested. He faces charges of two counts of theft from a vehicle, failing to stop, dangerous driving, and driving without a valid licence. Alongside him, a man in his 30s from Rotherhithe was also hit with two counts of theft and dangerous driving.

Officers later found a second vehicle linked to the crime. Four more men were arrested on suspicion of being ‘equipped for theft’: a 26-year-old from Romford, a 24-year-old from Tilbury, a 28-year-old from London, and a 30-year-old from Tilbury.
All six suspects remain in police custody as investigation continues.
