Young Cyclist Punched in Early Morning Attack

A 19-year-old cyclist was battered in a shocking unprovoked assault while heading home from work just after 3am on Sunday, 8 November.

Attack Near Perry Road Factories

The victim was cycling down Ployters Road, close to the Brockles Mead junction, when a group of men appeared from a nearby cycle track behind Perry Road factories. One man suddenly punched him in the face before the gang quickly walked off.

Victim Needs Stitches – Police Hunt Suspect

The victim required stitches to his lip after the brutal blow. Police are investigating, reviewing nearby CCTV footage, and keen to speak with anyone who was around the industrial area at the time.

Suspect Description & How to Help

  • White male, early 20s
  • Very blond, short hair
  • Blue eyes
  • About 6ft tall, slim build
  • Wearing dark trousers, dark jacket, light top
