Man stabbed in Hackney bus shelter – police launch probe

Stabbing sparks Hackney investigation

Police have launched an investigation after a stabbing in Hackney on Sunday. A bus shelter on Jessam Avenue, Clapton, was cordoned off as officers carried out their inquiries.

Victim treated and taken to hospital

The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered facial injuries but is not thought to be seriously hurt. Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene before he was rushed to hospital. A crime scene remains in place as officers continue their work.

Appeal for witnesses

Police were called shortly after 2pm on Sunday, 27 December, following reports of an assault on Upper Clapton Road. No arrests have been made yet, and enquiries are ongoing.

“Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference Cad 2882/27Dec.”
