Police have launched an investigation into a stabbing attack that took place in Hackney on Sunday.

Officers have cordoned off a bus shelter on Jessam Avenue in Clapton and an investigation has been launched following the stabbing.  

The man is not thought to have serious injuries. He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital.

A crime scene remains in place.

LAS say they sent a rapid response paramedic and an ambulance crew to the scene.

 

Police were called shortly after 2pm  on Sunday, 27 December to reports of an assault on Upper Clapton Road, E5.
“Officers attended and found a man, aged in his 30s, with facial injuries. He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
“Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference Cad 2882/27Dec.”
