Tragic M27 Crash: Man Killed After Hit by Royal Mail Lorry
Emergency services were scrambled at 7.37pm on December 29 after a brown Peugeot smashed into the central reservation between junctions 8 and 9 on the M27.
The 41-year-old driver then got out and walked across the westbound carriageway – where he was struck by a Royal Mail lorry. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lorry Driver Unharmed as Investigation Continues
The lorry driver escaped injury. Police have reopened the M27 but continue probing the circumstances surrounding the deadly collision.

Officers are urging anyone travelling along this stretch of the M27 at the time to come forward with information or dash cam clips.
