Neo-Nazi Extremist Luke Hunter Admits Seven Terror Charges
Luke Hunter has confessed to seven charges of encouraging terrorism and spreading terrorist material. The confession comes after a major crackdown on right-wing extremism.
Police Raid Uncovers Shocking Nazi Arsenal
Hunter was arrested last October in an investigation led by Counter Terrorism Policing North East and Northumbria Police targeting right-wing terrorism.
Officers raided his home, uncovering a disturbing obsession with Hitler and neo-Nazism. They seized piles of white supremacist texts, military training manuals, and guides on surveillance, guerrilla warfare, weapons, and explosives. Nazi memorabilia and a machete were also found in his bedroom.
Extensive Online Hate Campaign Exposed
Police found thousands of extremist files on Hunter’s devices, including violent videos, audio recordings, and manifestos from previous mass murderers. Disturbingly, Hunter recorded himself voicing hateful, far-right views.
He was relentless online, running multiple accounts and platforms to spread his poisonous ideology. Hunter even created his own website to distribute terrorist handbooks, right-wing propaganda, and hateful white supremacist, anti-Semitic, and homophobic content.
Large Reach Among Youth Via Telegram
Hunter’s Telegram channel boasted over 1,200 subscribers and links to the extremist Feuerkrieg Division (FKD), for whom he produced videos and urged support. His public online presence meant his messages reached far beyond that number.
Though FKD wasn’t banned when Hunter was arrested, it was a recognised violent extremist group. Hunter openly backed FKD’s violent goals and played a key role in keeping their online presence alive and recruiting followers.
Counter Terror Chief Sounds Alarm
“Hunter invested a lot of effort into his website, online presence, and status among extremists. He saw himself as an influencer and even spoke at a UK right-wing conference,” said Detective Chief Superintendent Martin Snowden.
“This isn’t about a young person exploring political views. Hunter aggressively promoted neo-Nazism to as wide an audience as possible, with reckless disregard for the consequences.”
“He accepts responsibility for posts glorifying terrorism, instructing on killing techniques, and encouraging violence against Jews, non-white races, and homosexuals.”
“Hunter is a real threat, not just for his hateful mindset, but for his efforts to recruit and empower others to violence.”
