Bomb Squad Called as Suspicious Device Found in Stratford Student Block
Emergency services rushed to Stratford after a suspicious device was discovered in a student accommodation block on Westfield Avenue.
Students were quickly evacuated from the Unite accommodation when staff spotted components of the device in a room. The find sparked an immediate bomb scare.
Massive Cordon Erected as Experts Examine Device
Bomb disposal experts, police, and ambulance crews arrived just after 3pm on Sunday to deal with the threat.
A large cordon surrounds the area while specialists carefully investigate the suspect device to ensure public safety.
