Grandad Stabbed in Broad Daylight in Tyseley
A 77-year-old man was viciously attacked while popping to the shops on Tynedale Road, Tyseley, just after 12:45pm. He was grabbed from behind and stabbed, leaving him fighting for his life in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Quick-Thinking Police Nab Suspect
Officers wasted no time. They arrested 27-year-old Asim Hussain from Broadstone Road, Lea Hall, within hours. Last night, he was charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife in public.
Suspect to Face Court Today
Hussain is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court this morning via video link from the custody block. The investigation continues as the victim remains in critical condition.
