A raging fire has engulfed the wall cavity from the ground floor right up to the fifth floor of a five-storey townhouse.

Station Commander Jon Singleton, leading the response, said: “Firefighters are tackling a complex fire at a townhouse.” Crews are using specialist cutting tools to break into the building and battle the flames. A turntable ladder is giving crews a crucial bird’s-eye view to monitor the blaze as they race to control it.
