Council Installs CCTV Outside Home of Sarah Everard Murder Suspect
Council workers arrived just after 8.30am on Friday at the home of Met Police officer Wayne Couzens. He has been charged with murdering 33-year-old marketing executive Sarah Everard, who vanished on March 3 while walking home. Her body was found last Wednesday in woodland near Great Chart by specialist officers.
Cherry Picker Used to Fit CCTV by Dover Council
Engineers working for Dover Council used a cherry picker to install a powered, remotely monitored IP camera outside Couzens’ property. A bright yellow CCTV warning sign now faces the house, making it clear the area is under surveillance.
Couzens’ Wife Returns With Damage Report
Shortly after the camera installation, Couzens’ wife arrived back at the property just after 9.20am. She was escorted by Kent Police and Met officers and reportedly carried a list detailing damage caused to the family home during police searches.
