Man Jailed for Over 13 Years After Brutal Eastleigh Assault and Kidnap
A 20-year-old man has been locked up for 13 years and 4 months following a shocking attack in Eastleigh back in August 2020. Jeremy Blake Simmons, who has no fixed address, admitted multiple charges including assault, threats to kill, and kidnap at Southampton Crown Court.
Horrific Night-Time Attack Caught on CCTV
In the early hours of 4 August 2020, Simmons ambushed a woman walking along Leigh Road at around 2:15am. He dragged her into Leigh Road Park, where he assaulted her and threatened to kill her. The attack left the victim traumatised and terrified.
After a three-day trial in March 2024, Simmons was also found guilty of kidnap with intent to commit a sexual offence. He pleaded guilty to these crimes in September 2020 and was sentenced today.
