Grimsby Thug Jailed for Brutal Attack on Elderly Man
Michael Pullan, 40, from Eleanor Street, Grimsby, has been locked up for a cowardly assault on a vulnerable pensioner. The sentencing came down on Monday, May 10, after his vicious crime shocked the local community.
Shameless Attack on Defenceless Victim
On April 8, Pullan first begged a passer-by for cash but was turned away. Not giving up, he targeted an elderly man nearby. Without warning, Pullan struck from behind, knocking the victim to the floor before robbing him of personal belongings.
The thug then fled the scene, leaving the injured pensioner helpless on Eleanor Street.
Police Crack Down on Violent Crime
“Violent crime is something that we will continue to tackle robustly to bring these criminals to justice,” said DC Connolly, who led the investigation. “This was a completely unprovoked attack. I’m pleased that Pullan is now behind bars where he belongs. I really hope this provides his victim with some comfort after having to go through such a terrifying experience.”
Pullan’s jail term sends a clear message: prey on the vulnerable, and you’ll pay the price.
