Paedophile Jailed for 12 Years Over Sickening Abuse of Teen
Christopher Pearson, 34, was locked up for 12 years and five months at Teesside Crown Court last week. The Darlington man finally pleaded guilty to horrific sexual offences against a vulnerable teenage boy that lasted more than a year.
Horrible Attempt to Intimidate Victim
After the brave victim came forward to testify, Pearson set up fake Facebook accounts to smear him. He made false claims and even posted the boy’s home address online, trying to frighten him into silence.
Judge Jonathan Carroll blasted Pearson, saying: “You put his name out there in a way that put him at considerable risk, not just him, but his family. That was just wicked as well as wrong and untruthful.”
Dangerous and Manipulative Predator
- Pearson pleaded guilty to multiple charges including sexual assault, sexual activity without consent, and witness intimidation.
- He ignored a chance to plead guilty earlier to avoid the victim’s trauma during cross-examination, showing his manipulative nature.
- The court branded him a highly dangerous individual who preys on society’s most vulnerable.
Pearson has been added to the sex offenders register for life and slapped with an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
