Relentless Stalker Sentenced After Harassing Woman Despite Clear Rejection

Louis Jones’ Obsession Spirals Out Of Control

Louis Jones, 33, from Porthcawl, refused to take no for an answer. Despite the victim repeatedly telling him she wanted nothing to do with him, Jones stalked her relentlessly. He turned up uninvited at her workplace, her friends’ homes, and even outside her own house. There, he sat on the pavement, glaring at her property for hours.

Social Media Barrage and Phone Number Tricks

Not stopping there, Jones created multiple social media accounts to flood her with messages. When she blocked his number, he simply bought new SIM cards to continue the harassment. When the victim’s mother intervened, warning him to back off, Jones chillingly replied, “I’m not going to leave it… I love her and I’m going to keep on.”

History of Dangerous Obsession

At Newport Crown Court, Jones’ dark past came to light. He was previously convicted for stalking a 12-year-old girl, a crime that landed him six months in prison. During his police interview for this latest offence, Jones admitted to the stalking but claimed he didn’t see anything wrong with his actions.

The court heard how, when 31, Jones fixated on a young girl after messaging her on Facebook. He turned up at her school, followed her, commented on her skirt length, and offered her snacks and clothes.

Judge Issues Stern Warning and Jail Sentence

You pose an imminent risk of harm to young girls,” Judge Daniel Williams said. “You have an unhealthy interest in young women whom you befriend, control, and fixate on. Your previous conviction is an extremely aggravating factor.”

Jones was jailed for 12 months, a sentence reflecting the court’s grave concern over his dangerous and obsessive behaviour.
