Man Found Dead After Street Disturbance in Rainham
Police rushed to Louise Gardens, Rainham, at 7.53pm on Wednesday, 1 December, following reports of a street disturbance involving a group of people. Paramedics also attended the scene.
37-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead
Officers discovered a 37-year-old man unresponsive. Despite paramedics’ best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are working to confirm his identity and notify next of kin.
Woman Injured and Taken to Hospital
A woman was found with a wrist injury and was taken to hospital. Her condition is not life-threatening.
Four Arrested on Suspicion of Murder
Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have launched an investigation. A crime scene remains in place.
- Four men, aged between 21 and 48
- One 17-year-old girl
All have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are in custody.
