Met Police Officer Faces Court on Child Sex Abuse Charges
PC Will Scott-Barrett to Appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court
PC Will Scott-Barrett, who works within the Met’s Intelligence Command, is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 20 December.
Serious Charges Following Met Investigation
The officer was charged on Tuesday, 16 November after a probe by the Met’s Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Command.
The charges stem from alleged misconduct in February 2021, reportedly while PC Scott-Barrett was off duty.
Met Takes Professional Standards Action
The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified of the case. PC Scott-Barrett was suspended from duty immediately after the initial allegation emerged.
