Truck driver hurls hammer, smashes car wing mirror in wild road rage attack!
Hammer attack on family car shocks Lower Stoke
Just before 1pm on High Street, Lower Stoke, a motorist with his children pulled over to let a truck through a narrow section of road. Instead of passing calmly, the truck driver leant out his window and smashed the wing mirror of the stationary vehicle with a hammer.
Shaken family left stunned after shock attack
The victim and his children were left shaken by the violent outburst. The family reported the incident to police, providing vehicle details straight away.
Police catch suspect carrying weapons
At around 3pm, officers spotted the truck on Grain Road. They stopped the vehicle and found two knives and a hammer inside. The driver, a man in his twenties from West Sussex, was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and a public order offence.
The suspect has since been released under investigation as police continue their inquiries.
