Ryan France, 25, secretly planted a hidden camera in his teenage victim’s home between September 2018 and May 2019. Without her knowledge, he captured disturbing footage of the girl getting dressed and spending time with her boyfriend.

France’s sick secret was busted when another woman spotted the illegal images on his phone and alerted the cops. A deeper search of his device uncovered sexualised chats with others, hinting he planned to distribute the vile footage.

Northumbria Police said: “This case has caused significant distress to the victim and her family – it was vital they saw justice done. The conviction and jail sentence were possible because of the bravery of the victim and all witnesses who helped our investigation. They should be proud – this outcome is for them.”

Three-and-a-Half Years Behind Bars
France, formerly of Callum Drive, South Shields, pled guilty to four counts of voyeurism, three counts of making indecent images of a child, and one count of possessing indecent images of a child with intent to distribute. He was sentenced at Newcastle Crown Court in February and jailed for three-and-a-half years on March 25. He will remain on the sex offenders register for life.
