Big Cocaine Busts Rock Tunbridge Wells
Huge hauls of cocaine have been seized in Tunbridge Wells after a week-long crackdown by the town’s Community Policing Team. Dozens of street deals were intercepted, and nearly £10,000 in cash was recovered. Two men now face serious drug supply charges.
Arrest One: Audi Stop Uncovers £8,000 and 100g of Coke
On the evening of Thursday 21 April, police pulled over an Audi in Victoria Road. The driver was searched, and a wrap of suspected cocaine was found. A follow-up raid at a property in Goods Station Road uncovered over 100 grams of suspected Class A drugs plus up to £8,000 in cash.
Benjamin Freeman, 36, of Goods Station Road, was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of criminal property. He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 23 April and was granted bail. His next court date is yet to be confirmed.
Arrest Two: £2,000 and Hundreds of Deals Found in Eridge Road Stop
The very next day, officers stopped a suspicious vehicle near Eridge Road. A search revealed four wraps of cocaine and dozens more hidden beneath the driver’s seat—totaling around 90 deals. Nearly £2,000 in cash was also seized.
Police then raided a linked address in Chatham and found approximately 300 street deals worth of suspected cocaine. Georgios Kotsis, 26, of Upper Luton Road, Chatham, was charged with possession with intent to supply and possessing criminal property. He was remanded to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 25 April.
