Nottingham Man Faces Court Over Fraud and Heroin Charges
Martin Tideswell, 50, from Hungerhill Road, St Ann’s, is set to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday 16 May. He faces nine charges of fraud by false representation and one count of possession of heroin.
Stolen Bank Cards Spark Fraud Spree
Police are investigating a burglary in which a rucksack containing bank cards was stolen from a property on North Sherwood Street in Nottingham city centre. The break-in happened between 11pm on 6 May and 11am the following day.
The stolen cards were then used at several retailers across Nottingham on 7 May, triggering the fraud charges against Tideswell.
Police Praise Burglary Team’s Firm Grip on Crime
Detective Inspector Mark Booth of Nottinghamshire Police hailed the burglary team’s relentless work. “These officers are dedicated and highly skilled in tackling this kind of crime,” Booth said.
A suspect has now been charged and brought before the courts as the investigation continues. The burglary team remains determined to keep burglary rates down across Nottingham and the county.
