Woman and Dog Rescued from Whitstable Flat Fire

Late Saturday night, the Kent, Sussex and Surrey air ambulance rushed to a flat fire in St Andrews Close, Whitstable.

Neighbours Spring Into Action

Before firefighters arrived, neighbours helped a woman escape through a window. She suffered a minor leg injury but was otherwise safe.

A nearby resident confirmed, “The lady and her dog are safe.”

Emergency Response and Aftermath

  • Paramedics treated the woman at the scene.
  • She was then taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, Kent.
  • Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded after multiple calls alerted them to the blaze.
