Man Assaulted Outside Canterbury Takeaway in Late-Night Attack
A delivery driver was attacked while sitting in his car outside a takeaway on Sturry Road, Canterbury. The shocking assault happened between 10pm and 10:50pm on 20 June 2022.
Three Men Launch Brutal Attack, Flee Towards Kingsmead
The victim was approached by three men who assaulted him. Luckily, a passerby helped the delivery man escape and alerted police. The suspects fled towards Kingsmead.
The victim suffered a minor arm injury during the attack.
Suspects Described — Two Teens and One Beard-Wearing Man
- All three men were about 5ft 6in tall with black hair.
- Two were slim teenagers; one wore a black jacket, grey trousers, a black hat, and carried a black bag.
- The second teen wore a black t-shirt and brown trousers.
- The third man, around 25 years old with a medium build and beard, wore a blue shirt.
Two Arrested as Police Hunt Third Suspect
An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy from Canterbury have been arrested in connection with the assault.
“Two arrests have already been made, but we are keen to hear from anyone who may have information regarding this incident,” said Detective Inspector Julien Lawton.
“Witnesses to the assault, as well as anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time, are urged to come forward.”
