Pedestrian Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run on Moyne Close

A 30-year-old man is fighting for his life after being hit by a white Ford Fiesta in Moyne Close last night (27/07) at around 8:45pm.

The pedestrian was struck while walking and rushed to Southmead Hospital with severe injuries. He remains in critical condition.

Driver Flees Scene, Abandoned Car Found Nearby

The driver of the Ford Fiesta fled immediately after the crash. Police later found the car abandoned close to the scene.

No arrests have been made yet, but detectives from Central CID are leading the investigation.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Hit-and-Run Driver

“We know there was a large group of people in the Moyne Close area who saw the collision and could hold vital information,” said Detective Inspector Tom Straker.

“I strongly urge anyone with info who hasn’t spoken to police to come forward.”

“The driver of the Ford Fiesta must do the right thing and contact us immediately. We are conducting extensive searches to find them.”
