Man Shot in Early Morning Attack on Liverpool Street
Chaos erupted in Liverpool just after 3 a.m. when shots rang out at a property on Norgate Street. Police rushed to the scene to find a man with a gunshot wound to his leg. Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening, and he was rushed to hospital for treatment.

After the shooting, two men fled on foot towards Sleeper’s Hill. Police launched a major search including forensic teams, CCTV checks, and door-to-door inquiries. Officers patrolled the area throughout the day, urging witnesses to come forward.
“We believe this was a targeted attack and are working tirelessly to find those responsible,” said Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Catherine Walsh of the Firearms Investigation Team. “Firearms and violence have no place in our communities.
