Tragic Drowning at Windsor Water Park: Girl Vanishes Underwater
A young girl went missing and is feared drowned after disappearing beneath the water at a Windsor water park on Saturday afternoon. Despite desperate rescue attempts, she never resurfaced.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Thames Valley Air Ambulance raced to the park following reports of the girl going underwater and not coming back up. Lifeguards and rescue crews worked frantically to find her but came up empty-handed.
“She was with a group of friends for a girl’s birthday,” said the girl’s mother, who wished to remain anonymous.
Heartbroken Witnesses and Search Efforts
Visitors at the park were asked to call out the girl’s name if they spotted her on land, but no one did. A witness said, “The lifeguards were putting in a lot of effort.”
About 30 minutes into the search, the public was asked to clear the beach as police helicopter, air ambulance, fire crews, and a search and rescue boat arrived to assist.
“I saw one of the adults from the group and asked if there was anything I could do to help, and she just asked that I pray for her.”
The tragic incident leaves a community in shock as the search concludes with heartbreaking uncertainty.
