Armed Police Descend on Peckham After Shots Fired

Armed officers from the Met Police stormed the Willowbrook Estate in Peckham late Friday night. Residents reported a firearm was discharged at several people who then fled across the estate in panic.

Scene Locked Down as Investigation Underway

  • Multiple roads near Peckham Hill Street have been cordoned off.
  • The entrance to a block of flats sealed by police to secure the area.
  • A bus shelter on Bonar Road, close to the incident spot, is also taped off.

Forensics Scour Scene for Clues

Specialist forensic teams are combing the large scene for evidence. Officers guarding the area have spotted several items of clothing left behind along the pavement, marked with visible scuffs and stains.

We are currently looking into the incident and urge anyone with information to come forward,” a Met Police spokesperson said.

The Met Police have been approached for further comment as their investigation continues.
