Man in Hospital After Serious Head Injury in Chatham
A man was found seriously injured near the bottom of a staircase on Victoria Street at 8pm on Sunday, 13 February 2022.
The victim suffered a severe head wound and was rushed to a local hospital. He remains in a life-threatening condition.
Suspect Arrested on Suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm
Police have arrested a man in his 60s from Chatham in connection with the attack. He remains in custody as inquiries continue.
Detective Constable Beth Brimmicombe-Wood said: “Although we have arrested a man, we are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and are carrying out enquiries to ascertain how the man sustained his injuries.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers are urging anyone who was in the area at the time and has not yet spoken to police to come forward.
