Swindon Drug Dealers Busted: Nearly Three Years Behind Bars for Cannabis Supply

Couple Caught with Over Half a Kilo of Cannabis

Mitchell Hicks, 30, and Chloe Dempster, 33, both from Bladen Close, Wroughton, have been nailed for dealing Class B drugs. Police stormed their home on February 4, 2021, after intelligence tipped them off about drug supply activity. They found over half a kilo of cannabis, ready to hit the streets, along with drug paraphernalia, cash, and multiple mobile phones.

Sentences Hit Hard

  • Mitchell Hicks got a hefty 2 years and 11 months after admitting possession with intent to supply and handling criminal property.
  • Chloe Dempster received a four-month sentence, suspended for 12 months, for possessing criminal property and letting their home be used to flog drugs.

Police Praise the Crackdown

“Hicks and Dempster were storing large amounts of cannabis at their address and not only receiving cash payments but also a large amount of third party payments through illegal means,” said PC Caldwell.

“They were well-established drug dealers supplying Class B on the streets of Swindon. Illegal drugs harm not just users but the entire community. Both have been reaping the financial rewards while contributing nothing positive to society. I am pleased our investigation has put them before the courts.”
