Man Suffers Cardiac Arrest Behind Wheel
A man suffered a serious medical emergency while driving along Eaton Place, Kemptown, Brighton on October 14 at around 1:50pm. His van mounted the kerb, smashing into a pole and another vehicle.
Bystander Performs Life-Saving CPR
In a heartfelt Facebook post, a family member praised a stranger who saved the driver’s life. “I’m trying to find the wonderful human that performed CPR on my brother… My brother had a cardiac arrest while driving and was pulled from the car by a gentleman. They gave him CPR which saved his life,” they said.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Sussex Police confirmed the road was closed while emergency teams, including Secamb paramedics, dealt with the incident. “The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition,” the police added.
