£2,000 Stolen Goods Recovered After Builders’ Yard Burglary

Police have smashed a burglary case in New Ash Green, recovering stolen items worth over £2,000.

Break-In at Builders’ Merchant in Ash Road

The break-in happened on 14 October 2023 when thieves targeted a yard at a builders’ merchant on Ash Road. The raiders made off with more than 30 fence panels and eight gas cannisters.

Suspect Arrested After Police Raid

On 21 November, the Sevenoaks Neighbourhood Task Force raided a property off Billet Hill, Ash. They seized the stolen goods linked to the burglary.

At the same time, a 40-year-old man was arrested in Otford. He faces charges not only for theft but also drink driving and animal cruelty. The West Kent Victim-based Crime Team is leading the probe.

“The man is currently on bail with strict conditions and must return to custody on 9 February 2024,” police confirmed.
