Petrol Station Robber Strikes Twice in Strood
In the early hours of 29 November 2022, chaos erupted at a petrol station on Watling Street, Strood. A man threatened staff and made off with cash from the tills.
Thief Returns, Threatens Customer for Cash
Just two weeks later, the same suspect was back. This time, he targeted a customer who had stopped his car on the forecourt. Fearing for his safety, the victim handed over £5 to the robber.
Final Strike Leads to Arrest
On 28 December, the man returned once more, threatening staff again and stealing more cash. kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police sprang into action and arrested 18-year-old Shaun Kamara Kargbo from Carnation Road, Strood, on 14 January 2023.
He was charged the next day with three counts of robbery.
Kargbo appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court and was bailed to face Maidstone Crown Court on 2 February.
