Silver BMW Rams Man Before Chase and Stabbing
A silver BMW reportedly sped towards a man standing on the pavement of Lower Road between 5pm and 5:20pm on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
Attackers Chase Victim and Deliver Stab Wound
Some men then jumped out of the car and chased the victim down St Paul’s Avenue, where he was stabbed.
The 19-year-old was rushed to a London hospital and is now in stable condition. Police believe the victim and suspects knew each other.
40-Year-Old Arrested as Police Hunt for Witnesses
Police arrested a 40-year-old man the following day on suspicion of assault.
“An investigation is underway into the circumstances, including house-to-house inquiries in the area,” Detective Inspector Pete Smith said.
“We are encouraging witnesses and anyone with information to contact our appeal line. Drivers with dashcams and residents with private CCTV are also urged to check footage.”
