Man Arrested After Early Morning Sexual Assault in Dover
Victim Attacked in Vehicle on New Street
Just after 4 a.m. on Sunday, 29 January 2023, police were called to a disturbing incident in Dover’s New Street area. A woman reported she had been sexually assaulted inside a vehicle.
Suspect Caught by Kent Police Teams
The next day, officers from the East Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team and Dover Community Safety Unit swooped on a suspect. Jan Szeman, 30, from Tower Hamlets Road, Dover, was arrested and charged with sexual assault.
Upcoming Court Appearance
Szeman is set to face Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 1 February.
