On Tuesday, January 31, two men, aged 26 and 18, were arrested in Coventry on suspicion of engaging in conduct in preparation for terrorism under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
A 58-year-old woman was also arrested on Tuesday, January 31, and a 57-year-old man was arrested the next day, February 1. They were arrested under Section 15 of the Terrorism Act of 2000 on suspicion of funding terrorism.
Following the pre-planned arrests, all four are still being questioned at a West Midlands police station.
A search for a residential address in the city is ongoing; no imminent threat to the public is believed to exist.
