Knife Drama Rocks Nottingham College
Emergency crews swooped on Canal Street, Nottingham, just after 11.30am on Thursday, February 2, following a scuffle involving a group of youths outside Nottingham College.
Teen Stabbed, Two Others Hurt
A 16-year-old lad was rushed to Queen’s Medical Centre with a knife wound but has since been discharged. Two other males were also hospitalised with minor injuries.
Suspects Brought to Justice
One 16-year-old boy has been charged with affray and remanded in custody. He’s set to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 6.
Earlier, two others — 18-year-old Ayo Ajayi from The Meadows and a 17-year-old unnamed boy — faced the same court. Both are charged with affray and possession of a bladed or sharply pointed article. Ajayi remains in custody, while the 17-year-old was granted conditional bail. Their next court date is pending.
Police Crack Down on Knife Crime
Detective Sergeant Steve Dalby said: “A large amount of resource is being put into this investigation which has now resulted in a third suspect being charged and remanded. Nottinghamshire Police is committed to preventing and enforcing against knife crime and teamwork with the public and partner agencies is vital in tackling incidents such as this.
