Detectives In Herne Bay Are Looking For Witnesses After Receiving A Report Of A Robbery

Kent Police is looking into the incident, which happened around 10.30pm on Thursday, February 9, 2023, in the Avenue Road area of town.

Following an altercation with another person, a teenage boy sustained a single injury consistent with a stab wound. His injury necessitated hospitalisation. During the incident, his green iPhone 13 was also stolen. The phone has since been recovered by officers.

‘Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and exact location of the robbery,’ said Detective Inspector Daniel Aylett.

‘From what we understand, the victim and his friend, another teenage boy, flagged down a car and were given a ride to the hospital by a man.

‘We are eager to find and speak with this good Samaritan because he may have information as a potential witness that can help our investigation.’

Anyone else with information or CCTV or dashcam footage taken in the area between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, is asked to call Kent Police at 01843 222289 and reference case number 46/25405/23.
