£5,000 Booze Heist at Tesco Extra in Broad Daylight
Police are hunting a gang who swiped six trolleys packed with booze worth over £5,000 from Tesco Extra on Jubilee Way South.
Massive Theft Caught on CCTV
The slick thieves struck just before 5pm on January 24. Officers say around 180 bottles of alcohol were snatched, hidden under other items to dodge detection. One suspect even operated the exit barrier to speed their getaway.
Police Warn of Nationwide Supermarket Spree
“We believe that a group of men are hitting supermarkets nationally using techniques to avoid being caught,” said PC Summer Smith, leading the investigation.
“Shop theft is not a victimless crime, and we are determined to stop this group from targeting any more of our supermarkets.”
“If you recognise the three men in the CCTV images or are one of them, please contact us immediately.”
