Bus Driver Robbed After Confronting Group Smoking on Board
Police are hunting witnesses after a bus driver was mugged in Bognor Regis on Monday evening. The driver, steering a Stagecoach double-decker from Bognor to Chichester, pulled over near Yeomans Honda on the A259 Chichester Road at around 7.30 pm.
He stopped to confront a group of youths smoking on the bus. But things turned nasty — some of the youngsters attacked him and snatched his cash till before fleeing towards Colworth Lane.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Officers want to speak to anyone who saw the robbery unfold. They’re especially eager to track down a passenger who left the bus before police arrived.
