Multi-Car Smash on M42
West Midlands Ambulance Service scrambled to the scene between junctions 11 and 12 at 7.37am after reports of a multi-vehicle collision. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, and a MERIT trauma doctor rushed to help.
Reinforcements arrived from the South Coast Ambulance Service, including an off-duty paramedic and nurse who quickly joined efforts.
Woman Dies at Scene
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service revealed crews found two victims on arrival. One was a woman in critical condition, already receiving emergency aid from police officers.
“Ambulance staff quickly began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”
Second Victim Rushed to Hospital
