Fatal Collision Involving Motorcycle Following Police Pursuit

Merseyside Police Detectives in Huyton are seeking information from the public following a stabbing that occurred on Tuesday evening, September 26. At approximately 17.20 BST, authorities received a report of a 17-year-old boy who was at the junction of Tarbock Road and Logwood Road with his girlfriend when two males approached him, leading to an argument.

Subsequently, an altercation broke out, during which the young boy was stabbed in the back and shin. Following the incident, the two suspects left the scene, leaving the victim injured.

The injured teenager was promptly taken to the hospital for medical treatment, and fortunately, his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

An ongoing investigation is underway, and detectives are actively conducting inquiries into the incident. Detective Inspector Peter Rexwinkel commented on the matter, stating that the inquiries are still in their early stages as they work to establish the full details of what transpired.

Detective Inspector Rexwinkel urged anyone who was in the vicinity of Tarbock Road around 5:00 pm onwards on that day and witnessed the incident to come forward with any relevant information. He also encouraged individuals who were in the area to review their dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage, as it might contain valuable evidence that could assist in the investigation.

Furthermore, Detective Inspector Rexwinkel emphasised the importance of reducing knife crime in Merseyside and the dedication of law enforcement to proactively address this issue through various means, including stop and search powers, open land searches, warrants, and educational initiatives in collaboration with partners.
