Man in 60s Stabbed to Death in Bristol Race-Hate Attack

A man in his sixties from Easton was fatally stabbed on Grosvenor Road, St Paul’s, Bristol, on Friday, September 29. Christina Howell, 36, also from Easton, has been charged with murder and is behind bars. She is set to face Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 2.

Race-Hate Crime Inquiry Launched

The victim died from a stab wound. Police are treating this as a race-hate crime, with the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) leading the probe. Family liaison officers are supporting the victim’s relatives, who have also been offered help by SARI (Stand Against Racism & Inequality).

Community and Police Respond

“Our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of the deceased, who was a familiar and popular figure to many in St Paul’s,” said Neighbourhood Chief Inspector Deepak Kenth. “We’re grateful to the community for their quick help to the injured man and ongoing support during this investigation.”

Police will keep a strong presence in the area as the inquiry continues. Chief Inspector Kenth urged anyone with information to step forward, stressing the vital role of the local community.
