Rotherham paedo rapist guilty again in shock abuse case
A 42-year-old man from Rotherham has been found guilty of raping and indecently assaulting a teenage girl in a horrifying case linked to the National Crime Agency’s (NCA) massive Operation Stovewood probe.
Multiple rapes from 2001 to 2003 exposed
Mohammed Imran Ali Akhtar, formerly of Godstone Road, pleaded guilty at Sheffield Crown Court on 17 October to two counts of rape and two counts of indecent assault. The attacks happened between 2001 and 2003, targeting a victim as young as 13.
Akhtar will be sentenced on 18 December and remains behind bars—already serving 23 years following a 2018 conviction for similar crimes.
