Police in Peterborough are urgently seeking witnesses and information after a woman was discovered with severe injuries in the city. The incident took place on Wednesday, October 11, around 23.00 BST on Lincoln Road, Millfield, near the junctions with Thistlemoor Road and Brassey Close.
The victim, a woman in her 20s from Ravensthorpe, Peterborough, was first taken to Peterborough City Hospital for immediate medical attention. Due to the seriousness of her injuries, she was subsequently transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where she continues to receive treatment.
At this stage, the police are keeping an open mind regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident and how the victim sustained her injuries. They are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in their investigation.
