Woman Found Murdered in Sunderland Home
Police are probing the suspected murder of 36-year-old Melissa Eastick in Sunderland. Officers have appealed for witnesses to step forward and help crack the case.
Tragic Discovery on Stockton Terrace
Emergency services were called at around 7.15am on Tuesday to an address on Stockton Terrace. Paramedics found Melissa with severe injuries linked to an assault. Despite urgent efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Melissa’s family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Two Men Arrested and Released on Bail
- Police detained two men, aged 38 and 40, on suspicion of murder.
- They have since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Authorities believe the victim and suspects knew each other. There’s no danger to the public at this time.
